absolutely not. I was severely depressed for a long time and never even wanted to leave my room. I was on prozac, Wellbutrin, and trazadone. I never once thought about killing myself. No matter how bad you think you have it there are always people way worse off than you. People who take their own lives believe they are ending their suffering but all they do is cause their family, friends, and loved ones to suffer.
Sounds like you haven't experienced a person with bipolar disorder, for example. They are not in control of their thoughts like that. The level of pain where the only release they can find ends up driving them to a bullet.
