Video New Star Trek deserves its own thread (Not really)

exactly, I like the idea of star trek being handed to different creators and seeing different visions of it
"Why am I Mr. Red-Shirt? If it's all the same to you, I'll be Mr. Yellow-Shirt."

"Who cares what your shirt color is?"

"Yeah, that's easy for you to say, you're Mr. Blue-Shirt! If it's no big deal to be Mr. Red Shirt, you wanna trade?"

Each episode is better than the last. Great opening with the Sonequa soliloquy that sets up both her and Saru's commentary about Starfleet later on. She got kicked out and he's dealing with the worst situation an acting Captain possibly could but they're both unrelentingly dedicated to their principles.

Andorians and Tellarites looked awesome.

Emperor's identity was no surprise but I still enjoyed the moment it happened. Same with Ash/Voq, the twists they throw out aren't exactly unpredictable but it's so much fun to watch them play out.

Sarek with the mirror goatee. And presumably he's also upset at his own Spock for joining Starfleet.

Can't wait to see what happens to the Stametses in the Wood between the Worlds

Lorca is TOTALLY the MU counterpart and probably has been the entire series. Maybe as far back as the Buran. The scars on his back that look like an agonizer, not being able to remember events with Cornwell, his reaction to the Emperor. Even his eyes; Burnham mentions at the beginning that even the light in this universe feels different.

We might even get to see Landry again if she came with him. "Every Captain in the Empire has a personal guard" after all.

Watching these two episodes with Mirror Mirror is a delight, it's amazing how well they're weaving in both canon and themes.

Hmm, first I've seen this. Interesting theory. He's cuthroat enough, but this pre-Kirk Federation is full of cowboys so I didn't think it that unusual.

What is everyones favorite Star Trek character?
Mine is Kirk but I also like Spock when theres trouble on the bridge and you are watching to see if he is sneaking behind the enemy
