goddamn right.
"Alexa, illuminate."ok, so alexa may be dumb, but goddamn if it isnt awesome to talk to my house. Its reliable, and quick for simply commands. I cant give it complex orders or natural language stuff like google, but simple commands work great.
Alexa, house lights on (all lights in the house go on in about 1 second)
Alexa, house house lights at 10%
Alexa, living room lights at 100%
etc etc
Walked through the house in a stupor last night to get something, and rather than constantly running into shit, i just muttered at alexa when i was coming down the stairs and the whole house was lit nicely to a low level such that i didnt run into things, but it also didnt blind me.
Alexa, blow me.
Guess there's no such thing as a free lunch. You have to pay extra for that feature, Nukes.
Guess there's no such thing as a free lunch.
"Alexa, illuminate."
how many minutes did it takeI just used siri to turn the lights on. and it worked!
What's the difference between the echo and the dot?
Last time we went we spent a few hours in the park and left. Not much there to hold our interest. That explains it. Haven't been to HS since well before that story
how many minutes did it take
no, it has built in too, its just not the beast of a speaker the echo has.echo has a built in sound system, the dot you gotta hook up to something.
What's the difference between the echo and the dot?
Worse, it talks back.I talk to myself way too much to have one of these things in my house. Thing would be blinking and making noises like a carnival ride.
Worse, it talks back.
Bro in laws Alexa was tripping on me constantly.
"I located Google results for fuck me o fuck me..."
you know how i know you're lying, or perhaps just technically inept?
Two ways:
1)it only triggers on the word alexa.... (or echo, or amazon, if you tell it to). so unless thats a common word in conversation, its not listening to anything
2)Amazon echo (alexa) doesnt do google searches.
Maybe he has a google home.
