Somehow i missed this.

FAA ruled what anyone with an ounce of intelligence has known for decades. Electronic devices dont cause planes to crash, and theyre ok to use on flights

Delta/USair/American will manage to fuck up the individual policies somehow, just because. But at least they cant fall back on "THE FAA SAYS IT KILLS PEOPLE" anymore.

So many stupid things with airlines. Most due to them trying to squeeze every penny they can out of ya, and yet they are always on the verge of bankruptcy. :waw:

I thought the 'safety' thing was always a ruse because they wanted to charge you to use THEIR phones and internet service.

That was always my thought.

I can't tell you how many times I accidentally did not turn off my phone (or put it to airplane mode). Always seemed kind of stupid to me, so I am glad I can keep reading during take off and landing.

Any time the government or large corporation says something is for your safety, they are lying.

there was some rumor that they might back in 2011, but theyve never charged for checked bags in my experience since 2005 or so

Same here. I started using them when Delta stopped doing non-stops to my favorite destinations. I've been flying with them off and on since about 2003 or 2004 and I don't recall ever being charged for a bag.
