wipe it clean. turn it on & make sure it doesn't make any bizarre sounds.

list it on craigslist w/the "Includes a pouring shield, wire whip, flat beater, and a spiral dough hook"

copy/pasta from someone elses add. they're usually a few listed. or copy from amazon.

Fuck, if I didn't already have two I'd buy it for sure! That and I'd have to wait for my brother or dad to drive to/from where they live to get it. Damn I love KA mixers!!!!

Just run it to make sure it sounds nice. Also check for leaking oil. KA mixers that don't get used can get leaky quicker.

"Buy this mixer. It's barely used, owned by yuppies in the NOVA area, the same ones who buy all sorts of accessories for their kitchens to make up for the depressing hell that is 9-5 government office work. They thought it could fill a hole in their lives that 2.5 kids, 2 SUVs, and organic food couldn't but maybe you can use it to bake shit.

Nothing wrong with it just moving."

a really good ad would include a stronger value prop.

i like the tilt better
I've got a bowl-lift Pro 450 that I can't say a single bad thing about.

I bought my mom a tilt-head one, and when you're kneading bread dough, the latch that keeps the head in place walks and the head pops up. Customer support's verdict? "That's normal"

Yes! Kneeding dough worries me that I'm going to break it in our tilt one.

I've never had that issue, but I don't use it all the time. I got the tilt w/the biggest motor for power, but wanted more convenience too. My sister has the 600 model, & says she uses it almost every day because she's better than everyone else. That might have been the last time I spoke with her, like 3 yrs ago. regardless, it's in her kitchen like an altar. it's so big she can't put it 'away' so it takes up permanent residence in her little kitchen. oh well.
