someone gently placed a cardboard box on it. Perhaps mexicans also touched it with their fingerprints when unboxing.

Its soiled, and needed to be remade.

And I have to say imagining new cars being shipped in cardboard boxes is amusing.
 
ok, that doesnt answer my question. Why would you not want one? What is the disadvantage of having one?

Also, its dumb to buy a truck if you dont use it as a truck.

Changes the appearance? Weighs it down? (adds up to 65 pounds - and for all we know the person wants to race it)

And it's not up to me to judge what people want to do with a vehicle they purchase. We're in aggreeance that if you get a truck, you should use it as a truck.

Or if you're going to put a cap and bed rug in for a makeshift camper or pet transportation or something like that.

I actually don't like the way spray liners look, but it's free, and it'll last forever.
