In this thread we will post and discuss the arrests and/or convictions of UF members. Have you been bad? Let's hear about it.
October 31, 1998 - Chapel Hill, NC
Public Drunkenness, Public Urination, Lewd Behavior.
In this one I was at the Halloween street party in Chapel Hill, 10,000 people roaming the streets, no bathrooms in sight. I had to go, so I went in some shrubs by a local business. The police saw and didn't like it too much. I say shame on the city for not offering proper facilities during such an event.

Once when I was thirteen my family and I were coming across the Mexico border and they ask you if you are an American citizen. Me being the wise ass, bitch of a kid told them that no I wasn't, I'm from China or something like that.
They took me in the backroom to interrogate me (just to scare me) so I wouldn't do that again.
That's all I have for a criminal background. :(

Did you understand what they were doing (just scare tactics) or were you worried about it? Did your parents kill you afterwards? I almost did the same thing when we drove from Nogales back into Arizona but I chickened out.

My parents were way ahead of me and my mean (yet he thinks he's funny) uncle was with me and when I told them I was Chinese he quickly said "she's not mine" and walks off.
I wasn't too scared, being a child you're more fearless than adults.
Lurking this thread waiting until someone posts some juicy stuff.

Hmm, let's see both occurences were when I was 19 and a freshmen in college.
After a night of drinking I ended up parked in someone's yard down the road from a girlfriends house. My car had thrown a rod and refused to start so I just decided to "sleep for a just a little while." I was roused by two of Tampa's finest. They found the remnants of my marijuana stash and my fake ID. It was a fun, hungover drive to the jail. I was released on my own recognizance. I plead out on the ID charge and got off scott free on the possession charge. I was put on probation for the fake ID.
Later that year, I was picked up on a warrant for tresspassing after a fraternity prank got out of hand. That was a fun afternoon in the city lockup. Plead out and paid a fine.

Minor traffic violations don't count unless you had to take a ride in a squad car after the stop; or if you performed sexual favors on the cop to get out of the ticket. PM me those details.

You could discuss the nature of your arrests even if you weren't convicted of anything. Inquiring minds want to know :P

When I was 21 I got arrested for possession with intent to distribute LSD. I was at someone's house attempting to buy more acid when the cops walked in and arrested everyone. I had a fun time at the police station that afternoon. I was released on my own recognizance, but I was absolutely terrified. I faced 9 years and thousands of dollars in fines. My case was stat docketed (I think that's the proper term) and I had 7 years of trying not to get caught doing anything wrong again before it was "forgotten". Now my record has been expunged and I'm free to make stupid mistakes again!

I've been very close many times, but never caught. I'm being more careful lately because I figure my luck will run out eventually. It's also a concern of mine that any felony and I'm out of a job and a life and have to start over back north of the border.

I was able to fall asleep on US19 in the speed lane at 7am on a Saturday morning. Last thing I remember is looking up at the red light and telling it I was going to pull over and pass out for a couple hours. Next thing you know I wake up and there is ambulances in front of me. I cut my wheel to go around them and I feel a tap on my shoulder. Of course it is a cop standing there waiting on me to wake up since I had my foot on the brake with all doors locked. At this point almost the entire highway was shut down fearing that I would go plowing into traffic if startled. I started laughing and said, "oh they must be for me" about the ambulances. I put the car in park and the officer immediately pulls me through the window onto the now completely shut down highway.
So they pull my car over and make me do a dui test. After passing the eye test I go to stand on one foot and go crashing face first into the parking lot. Just for fun he makes me walk the line. Again, 1 foot forward and hit the ground head first, by this point im bleeding. Medics bandage my scrape up and I get on my way to jail. I get to jail and by this time I have woken up and sobered out. I blow a .001, basically a cough drop. They have me do the roadside test again because they didnt get it on film, I pass perfectly. Besides the couple days in jail and the 80 dollar fee for parking on the highway they could not convict me.

There's a difference between blowing .001 hours lately at county and the BAC required to make someone pass out on a highway.

I should have got arrested when I was pulled over on Halloween for doing 85 in a 45. Had 5 minutes left to get beer and the gas station was 15 minutes away.
I got out of my car with my normal molesting priest costume on. Luckily after a really long discussion on life and God they let me go. Lets just say I found my faith in the christian way after kissing the cops ass for an hour. I might have been a sell out but it kept me outta jail, lol.

Easter Sunday, 2003. Class A misdemeanor assault. Jury trial, acquitted.
One stop sign ticket, and last week I got a warning for not having a front license plate. That's it. I've broken plenty of laws, just never been caught.
Hell, I never even had detention in school, hahaha

Well if Thorn's counts then I've been in the drunk tank before, but it was only when my uncle was giving me a tour of the station he worked at. The tank was painted pink, apparently to calm the people inside.
Oh, I've also had a speeding ticket and two no registration tickets. I fucking hate registration and inspection. It makes it a pain to drive a beater when an inspection costs a couple hundred bucks.

I'm going to do a cut and paste job from a discussion on another site since I don't really feel like getting back into it.
I'll cut right to the point.
Never accuse someone of something they didn't do just because you're mad and want to get even. It's absurdly expensive, provided that person refuses to take the easy way out. And by that I mean pleading guilty to something they didn't do, which the DA's office LOVES by the way. It makes their numbers look great, which directly affects their annual budget. They will practically take you out to dinner to get you to plead guilty. I asked for the Blow Me platter with a side order of you must be joking, and I guess they didn't like that.
It bears stating that public defenders are useless. So are most lower level private defense attorneys who live for the $2,500 - $5,000 retainer and as soon as the balance is paid forget you exist. To make sure you beat a bogus rap that could adversely affect you for the rest of your life, you have to spend a lot of money. Period. Which is what I did. It worked, but there wasn't any justice there. No one gave me my money back, no one apologized for the drawn out circus of stupidity that made me use up all my vacation days at work. They didn't even expunge my record, which should be required by law. If I'm protected from double jeopardy why aren't I protected from a massive stain on the transcript of my life?
Even more absurd, I was candidly informed by the judge that, acquittal or no, if I were ever arrested again for the same crime, at any point from here to eternity, the consequences would be extra severe. Translation: my acquittal could and would be used against me in a court of law. "So let me get this straight," I thought to myself slack-jawed, "I need to make extra sure for the rest of my life that I don't do something I never did to begin with." It's so massively, stunningly, rationale-defyingly illogical that it makes my head want to explode whenever I think about it. For example, right now as I'm typing this my vision is starting to swim and I'm beginning to lose consciousness. If I continue much longer my coworkers will be faced with a very confusing and horrifying spectacle.
Getting back to the original point about never accusing someone of something they didn't do, the DA won't care if you call them later and say "My bad, I didn't know I was going to possibly fuck up that person's life forever. Can we forget the whole thing? I thought this would just teach him a lesson, not be like all serious and stuff." I'm telling you, stupid people should be illegal. That's what every DA's office lives for: prosecuting the steaming shit out of anyone for any reason. So whether you later confess to being a lying douchebag or not, the other person still has to claw their way out of the hole you dug for them.
I often think, following that ridiculous travesty, about all the innocent people who get executed in this country. We actually kill people for no other reason than that the system is screwed up. What if I had been one of those people? What's to stop someone from accusing me of murder? It's fucking scary. Once that ball gets rolling there's nothing to stop it. People get fevered and caught up in the moment and it's like a gladiatorial event. No one will stand up and say "Wait a minute, this is completely nuts. Seriously, put down the Kool Aid." I actually sat there, in trial, and listened to a couple fresh-out-of-law-school prosecutors basically describe me as Attila the Hun, or maybe Ted Bundy since Bundy was good looking. All for having a verbal argument with someone.
And justice for all.

Per the affidavit signed while I was locked up there had been some pretty violent stuff going on. Choking, kicking, punching, blood, bruises, machine gun fire, an IED under the sofa, etc. The jury really figured it out when my attorney suggested that the affiant refused to testify (or even show up) on the grounds that she would perjur herself and go to jail. And when the responding officers admitted they had no evidence whatsoever to justify the arrest, including any photographs of all the alleged destruction and bodily harm. (The trial was almost a year later, so on the stand there was a lot of "Uh, er....um....I don't know....I can't recall" etc. going on.) The cops were actually pretty funny. They had no interest whatsoever in being there, and made no effort to disguise that fact. Worst witnesses the prosecution could have called, and yet their only ones.
Basically it was just a routine, daily crap shoot by the DA. They offered a guilty plea with no jail time and probation, and I told them to fuck off. So they assigned two green prosecutors who needed some courtroom time, took me all the way to a verdict, and ultimately lost their gamble. All in a day's work for them, but my life savings for me. And, if things hadn't gone my way for some reason, my reputation, job, future jobs, etc. The system doesn't care about anyone. It is cold and brutal and distant, so if anything similar ever happens to any of you I would like to take this moment to wish you the best of luck.

It was the same old argument about parenting stuff. Her personal approach was to exclude me from everything except changing diapers. She was the only one allowed to touch our son after he was born. Doctors said that it was just a more aggressive manifestation of a very natural "mother bear" syndrome.
I told her it wasn't going to fly and that she was a shitty mother and partner for doing that to me. ( :fly: ) So she told me to leave. Which of course I refused to do. After a half hour of her screaming at me to leave and me ignoring her and not saying anything while watching CNN (we had recently begun the invasion of Iraq) she left to go to church (again, Easter sunday). About an hour later the cops showed up and that's when the fun started.
After bailing me out of jail that evening my dad said she had gone to his church and asked him to 'force' me to find somewhere else to live. He told her to relax and said that after church they'd talk about it some more. She replied that his approach wasn't good enough and after storming out of the church she called police with 'the story'.
I had my lawyer blurt all of that out during the trial (I didn't testify) and by the time the flustered law school grads representing the State could object the damage had been done. The jury had that much more info to help them make their decision. That's really the only way to get hearsay into the hands and heads of the jury. You just have to throw it at them. You can strike it from the record, but you can't strike it from memory.
