Almost all of the snow around here melted, nights were above freezing, days in the 50s. Now it is snowing. Expecting 8-14" of snow. So much for spring.
We got snow last week, but it is back up to 66 today and supposed to be 70 by the weekend. I hate snow. I hate cold. I want it to be summer all year long.
Yes, I'm aware that in Florida it's practically summer all year long, I'm working on Knyte.

Welcome to spring. It dosn't look like its happening but traditionally in this part of the south it will get warm for a few weeks in say late feb, early march but by April we'll have one last deep freeze. Its going to get cold but other than a possible freeze tomorrow night, it dosn't look like its happening this year. I'll take 55 as a high than snow like it is in other places tho.

We have the snow for the next 3 days :( Along with 50mph winds. The winds are so strong, they are blowing water from the lake up onto the freeway :(
And who said they were shitty driving in the snow? Their sloth-like pace even on sunny days helps when navigating through the multiple feet of snow we got this year.

Yea, Knyte grew up in Riverside and we were back there last Oct, he doesn't even ever want to vacation in Southern Cali again.
The beginning of June is when we are usually all clear and don't have to worry about frost. Up until then, we have to check the weather every night to see if we have to cover the garden to prevent it from freezing. We also don't worry about planting until late April/May cause everything would die and it would be pointless.
Florida has old people and Cubans, Cali has nuts and Mexicans...
I'll take Florida thanks. Living in Cali for 3 years was more than enough for me.
I'll probably leave once I'm no longer being educated myself. It's a nice place but it's too goddamn expensive. There aren't that many nuts and the Mexicans don't bother me, but I really don't want to live somewhere with hurricanes.

Of course I've seen more of Cali then just Riverside. This last trip we were in Orange county and LA (I've also been to San Diego a lot and that's my favorite place), but the entire state is over expensive, over populated, and over glorified. Florida has the same climate, but with less people and alligators, also, it's not as expensive.
