View Full Version : How to avoid being caught fellating a dog when they're not allowed in your apartment

So our apartment complex allows one dog or cat under 30 pounds...well...we have 5 cats and a dog... :O So our lease ended today and we renewed it for another year and they are comign on friday to do an inspection. :( We asked the office if our apartment could have a dog and they said our building is cats only. WTF...that sucks, so we told the office we got a robot dog, which is true. We also said that I have the robot dog programmed to bark when the cat runs by it just to keep the cat on its toes ;) So I was originally going to bring our MinPin to work and record it barking in the sound booth, but, there isnt time because i wasnt expecting an inspection any time soon...but Firday it is, so i sat with our audio guy and looked through some stocked audio samples and found a Samoyed bark that we were able to increase the pitch on, then edit the barks they gave to match how LuLu the MinPin barks! :D Its freakin sweet...darn close to the same thing....So about a month ago an apartment person was walking around putting notes on the doors and when they hit our door the dog barked once....sarah grabbed her and shut her up but then a few seconds later the paper started to jiggle as if they were TRYING to get the dog to bark. Our cover for that is the cat ran in front of the robot dog and it barked and they tried doing it again but the cat was gone so the dog didnt bark. ;)
So here's the plan...Sarah is taking 4 cats and the dog to FlyNavy's new apartment early in the AM, then mike is going to hang at the apartment till they get there for the inspection. I have a camera hooked up to my video card pumping out audio/video to the internets through windows media encoder, i and 2 of my friends are going to watch that until they come in the apartment, which at that time i will start to record when they come in for the internets viewing pleasures :D , i'll be able to remote control Lucky from work and make it play this dog bark mp3 from my computer...the sounds will come from Lucky's (robot dog) speaker AND from my computer which will be turned up :D :D :D :D OMG its gonna be sooo freakin awesome!
I'm even thinking of telling the 2 friends that I heard some shady people talking outside the other night talking about looting apartments during the day while people were at work, so i'm gonna tell them to call me if/when they see someone getting in our crib! ROFL LMAO HAHAAHAHAHAHA! Omg tricks all over the place!
Here's the sample i'm using.
Do you think it will work???

Our apartment complex allows one animal...dog or cat...BUT our building only allows cats...NO DOGS...each additional animal is $250/month...so no way in hell we're telling them we have 5 cats...In order to get around this, they have to see one cat when they come inspect the apartment for damages.

For a while it wasn't a big deal but last year they came in without notice while I was on a business trip and found two extra cats and a ferret. They were going to evict us but I BSed them into believing that the cats belonged to my brother that was staying over while I was gone and the ferret was going to a shelter very soon.
We came up with a way to hide the kitties but I had to smuggle the free rats into California. :(

Because the dog barks and if the neighbors complain about it or they hear her while putting letters on the door we can claim it's the robot dog. As for using the LuLu cam to watch the apartment...well for starters it'd be nice to know they're not going through our shit but also because we want to know when they're done so we can bring the aminalz back from my place.

How could a robot dog produce a sound that is as loud and crisp as your dog's bark. Developing the sound in studio is one thing, but having it sound right through a plastic speaker is another matter altogether.

Because i can have the robot dog stream an mp3 file from my computer, and when it does that it plays through his speaker AND my computer speakers....so...lets say last night i was playing battlefield real loud and didnt turn my sound down, when he plays the mp3, it will get blasted from my studio speakers which can be real loud!

Dont you think it would be more obvious if just as these ppl are inspecting, you just so happened to leave your computer speakers up loud. Which just so happens to be connected to a robot dog that you blame real barks on? lol

bwahahhaahaha, this is all to familiar now. My good friend michelle bought a dog in an apartment that didnt allow dogs/animals at all. It was a puppy and very very hairy. She also didnt have enough time for the dog so it never got trained properly. They finally got a tip from a neighbor when they came by to inspect there was piss, crap and hair on the carpet, lol. I told her to tell them that she drinks a lot, lol

If there's one thing I'm really good at it's lying through my teeth. :p They can't prove it unless they come in and catch the dog there and they can't come in without 24 hours written notice or they're in violation of the lease as well.

Also i just found this
Webcam Surveyor is complete webcam software that combines video
surveillance and video capture tools. With this software you can
record all video activity, work as a motion detector, program
alerts to be trigged by events (send a e-mail or upload images to
FTP site when detects a movement). This makes it possible for you
to observe remotely whatever activity your camera captures. The
built-in file browser allows to easily organizing captured images
and video clips. Webcam Surveyor is supported video and audio
codec's like: MJpeg, DivX, Mpeg-4 and MPEG Layer 3 (MP3), WMAudio
Encoder (WMA). Also with Webcam Surveyor you can capture sequence
of images with an interval of time of a second to 59 hours.
So i will be installing that and wont have to worry about pressing record because it will auto record all motion through the camera to a single file :D

Is anyone on earth really so allergic to animals that they have reactions through two foot thick walls?
The reason they gave me is that they wanted to make sure that all floorplans were available to people with dogs and thus the buildings next to ours were dog friendly. What I don't get is why the buildings surrounding ours are allowed dogs yet ours is not.

I think you are kinda missing the point of this completely. You guys got a dog when you knew it wasnt allowed in the apartment you are at. You guys also have 800 cats which is not allowed without paying them. You dont want to pay them so you are forced to hide them. If you did want to let them know you had a dog you could just move over to one of the other buildings(unless they are completely full). I didn't know dogs weren't allowed until after I got LuLu, I had every intention of paying for her and making her legit. It would be retarded to have to go through the entire moving process just because we got a little 15 pound dog.
Damages sustained to the apartment are prorated over 5 years so the longer we stay in this apartment the less money we will owe when we move out as our carpets will need to be replaced as they have been completely eaten down to the subfloor in multiple places.
As far as smelling, the house really only smells right after a cat poops, until the cat box scoops itself clean. That would happen with one cat or 5 cats, it doesn't really matter.
AAANNNNDDDD my apartment is 1200 square feet, I hardly consider it "cramped" as most starter houses are considerably smaller.

I am not complaining, I love animals and its nice to have that many. You are right, 1 cat is just as smelly as having 10 cats unless you never clean. My only point is you cant get mad like Flynavey at the complex and the way they have it set up for you wanting more animals. Kinda your choice.

That has absolutely nothing to do with my housekeeping and everything to do with your allergies.
And to be fair, you've spent the night at my place more than once so it's not like you died or anything.
I'm getting really sensitive about all of the implications that my house is some sort of cesspool or I'm a dirty person or something. That's very offensive to me as I do lean toward the OCD side of things.

My old house was right around 1000 sq feet and we had 4 lizards, 2 cats and a dog for awhile, lol. I never knew how much work the lizards were until I bought the chameleons. Man those things need a lot of attention

I am not complaining, I love animals and its nice to have that many. You are right, 1 cat is just as smelly as having 10 cats unless you never clean. My only point is you cant get mad like Flynavey at the complex and the way they have it set up for you wanting more animals. Kinda your choice.
Oh, I'm not mad at all... I think it's all really funny. I don't blame them one bit for wanting to do an inspection, or for getting mad or whatever... I have no issues with that.
So long as they don't see any contraband animals we're fine. I'm not worried about it at all, in fact, I'm looking forward to it. I can't wait to see what happens when the robot dog starts barking and following the maintenance guy around. :fly:

That has absolutely nothing to do with my housekeeping and everything to do with your allergies.
And to be fair, you've spent the night at my place more than once so it's not like you died or anything.

I never said your housekeeping was bad. Quite the contrary, your housekeeping was awesome. Your kitchen is so clean you can eat right off of the oven.
My allergies are just that bad. When Tim and I get a place, we might get some sort of pet, but even that is doubtful. I just hope the previous owner didn't ever have pets.

hehe, and you quoted the wrong guy in your last post cause I never once said your house was dirty or even implied that. Ask Candy or Shawn, I could never say that, lol. Although now adays I run a tight shift on making sure the house is clean! Back in the day was a completely different story :fly:

I would get claustrophobic living with more than two pets. I don't know how you and my coworker with his 5 dogs and 4 cats and two kids (with a third on the way) and his wife don't go crazy. He lives in less than 1000 sqft btw

Most times a person will develop immunities to a particular animal if they're around them long enough.
:fly: I'm actually allergic to cats which explains why I have so many respiratory problems... but I'm mostly good around my cats... I can't really stand other people's animals though.

I don't like the idea of taking a medication to have a pet around. I am not a fan of medication to begin with, but to take it regularly to live with something you choose to have really doesn't jive with me. I don't like pets THAT much.
That and I am never home and am a terrible housekeeper.

The only time all 5 cats are in the same room at the same time is dinner time. It's really a neat occurence when they're all out and being cuddly at the same time or something, but it doesn't happen often.

We vacuum every day, or I should say I vacuum every day. Tonight is the bigtime major overhaul cleaning night, the place needs to be immaculate for tomorrow so I need to vacuum out the air vents, baseboards, and furnace room.

I couldnt have my cat with my current living situation so my parents have him. Kinda sux though cause everytime I go over to their house I see him and he immediately runs to me and is so happy to see me, lol. Although he would hate to live with me now cause I dont have a screened in porch that he can bring back prizes to leave at the door. IE - dead lizards and snakes that sometimes get into the pool area, lol

Yeah, that is pretty dumb...
I got a flat this weekend and had it towed back to my place cause I didnt have a spare. The next day the neighbor came down and told me to move my car cause if they see it has a flat, even though it my house, my parking spot, the community will have it towed away. But hey its a deed restricted community so you just gotta bite the bullet

All of my animals are spayed and neutered. I treat my animals better than I treat most people. I'm also hyper sensitive to smells, thus my tendency to go overboard cleaning.
You've never met me, you've never been to my house, you're overtly rude and hostile toward me and insult me at every chance, this isn't 1st grade and we aren't on the playground so stop picking on me.

I've never been overly rude to you ( well perhaps at first I was but I got over it), I'm not insulting you particularly. I'm against those people who continue to collect pets yet fail to take proper care of them and everyone around them suffers as a result. I don't know if you watch animal rescue but a good chunk of the offenders are around here in detroit and I hate seeing some malnourished and beaten pet being put to sleep becasue people want to have a pet and not take care of it.

I did discover something the other night when I was taking Lu for a walk... if her collar rests at the bottom of her neck, she's a maniac on a leash, however, if I put her collar at the very top of her neck at the base of her head, she walks like the perfect puppy.
She also loves skateboards, if SchmilK is riding his skateboard, she wants to run along side with it. I think it's time for me to invest in some rollerblades so she can run during our walks... I just cant' run as fast as her.

It didn't play out IRL as it did in my head :( I had Lucky setup to bark when a pantleg with a white sock was recognized, and he barks when a cat walks past him, and he barks when LuLu walks in front of him...it worked great in the test run but dangit, Lucky just sat there when the service guy came, he didn't even look at Lucky, went straight to the utility closet, asked me if the flooring was the same in teh bathroom as it was in the kitchen, and then he changed the filter and left. :( Stupid webcam monitor program didnt even start recording when the service guy walked by :( So....MISSION SUCCESS!
