The link above will take you to the Japanese Language pack download designed for Office XP. This will install some Japanese fonts on your server. If It is working on your desktop you may want to find out what font it is using and copy that from your machine to the enterprise machines and install those fonts. This should resolve the issue entirely, however it may not render properly on client machines if they don't have the fonts installed (this would be a limitation of IE) however there is an option to have language packs automatically downloaded when IE needs them. This is something that needs to be determined by your IT department.
