I wish I could come. It sounds lovely. I'm a sucker for tree festivals. I've been to the Cherry Blossom festival in DC and it was a lot of fun and really pretty too. Unfortunately, too much is going on in my busy life to pick up and run to Atlanta in a week. :(
I wonder what other tree festivals there are around.

it's not about the trees. it's about chillin' in the park, drinkin some alcohol and maybe watch the dog contests. Plus, it's in Atlanta. Much better than anywhere in NY. ;)

I'm not really into alcohol or dogs, perhaps I should rethink my position.

Yeah? Where are you heading? Your house is only 800 miles north of Atlanta.
edit: must be someplace in wisconsin... you poor, poor sob.

well, you don't have to drink or look at the dogs. You can get a kite and fly it. Maybe toss a frisbee. Maybe smoke some crack. Maybe even slowly rub lotion on your chest until you glisten in the warm glow of the sun.

That looks pretty fun. I'm hopefully going to try to get tickets to The Marriage of Figaro in the next few days. Probably all sold out by now though.

Well it seems I'm coming with JJ to ATL this weekend and I think the Dogwood festival is on the agenda for Saturday.
So, who wants a mustache ride?
hmmm... If I say yes then I dont have to go to the beach.

You should go to that pond by your old apt and feed children to the alligator.

Not that I'd rather you go, but what's wrong with the beach? I thought you liked having rough stuff in your tender places? :fly:

I especially love that gritty salt film on your skin from the evaporated salt water. Plus if you go on a windy day you get a full body exfoliation for free!! :gloerf:

See, I tried to market this idea in alligator infested states. You know those little food pellet things you put in a quarter so you can feed the swarms of fish at the amusement park? Well, what about one full of babies! 2 bucks gets you a handful of babies to throw to the alligators!
(patent pending)
It was a hard sell, I'm just not a good salesman :iono:
