This is going to sound ridiculous to most of you, but I am working from home today and the last time I did I had a different IP address. Anyhow, I can't get my IP phone to work until I get my new address. Can someone please tell me where to find it on my PC so I can type it into the phone so it will work???

You need your PC's IP address?
For XP:
Click Start
Go to Run
Type CMD
at the prompt type ipconfig

Of course, if behind a firewall, the ports have to be forwarded correcty to work. :) I'm guessing that wasn't the case.

Are there any parts of an IP that give info on its location?
(ie: say the first numbers mean Illinois or something...)

Check this site out:

I've used this site to determine that my server was being attacked by IP addresses in Paris and Bristol, UK.

Arin.net gives information about who owns it, but the above site is better for geography.
